MEDNET specializes in Health Information Exchange (HIE) applications and services, empowering clinicians with real-time access to clinical data shared locally, regionally, and nationally.  The MEDNET product offering includes the MEDNET NHIN Gateway™ and the MEDNET Suite of Services™.

The MEDNET NHIN Gateway™ is a managed service HIE infrastructure offering, a core component in building HIEs and connecting to NHIN, the Nationwide Health Information Network.  The MEDNET NHIN Gateway supports Federated Identity Management with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and is IHE certified.

The MEDNET Suite of Services™ are a suite of HIE-specific applications for exchange and usage of clinical data across HIEs and NHIN.  The MEDNET Suite of Services fully integrate with EMR clinical data, Master Patient Indexes (MPI), HIS systems, PMS systems, billing / administrative systems, and other healthcare systems.

  • Patient Lookup Service (Record Locator Service or RLS) with optional MPI integration
  • Clinical Information Query and Retrieval Service with EMR integration

  • Electronic Referral Service with HIPAA 278 pre-authorization option
